Oh my goodness this post is SO overdue. Alissa and Josiah were married the Saturday before I left for Australia, and I’m back now and SO BEYOND ready to show off their wedding!! It’s gonna be amaaaazing!!

Dear Momma,
Today is Mother’s Day, and while I could spend hours telling you how amazing you are, and how much you mean to me, the truth is this is just a quick little post. Partly because I’m leaving in an hour for the airport – I’m sorry for leaving you on Mother’s Day by the way – and also partly because you are sitting across from me in our shared office. Momma, you are my rock, my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, and my shoulder to cry on. You have no idea just how much you mean to me, and there really aren’t any words to describe it. I would not be the person I am today without you; you raised me, and taught me, supported me, and guided me. I don’t know where I would be without your love. I’ve heard the saying that “a daughter is a little girl who grows up to be a friend,” and I truly believe that could not be more true with us. I love you to the moon and back, forever and ever, with all of my heart. You are the best Momma I could have ever asked for and so much more, and I feel so blessed to have you.
I love you. I can’t wait to see you when I get back from Australia! 
And to all the other Mother’s out there, Happy Mother’s Day, I hope you have a fabulous day and that your children find wonderful ways to show their appreciation of you!!

Well my love, today is your birthday. And even though you have to work extra long today, I wanted to make sure to celebrate you. Out in public. Where everyone can see. Because my love for you is just too big to keep to myself.
I can hardly find the words to tell you how amazing you are, and just how much you mean to me. You are my light, my heart, and my whole world. You are so incredibly thoughtful and caring, sweet and sensitive, smart and feircly loyal. You are my own personal superman and I can’t imagine life without you. Thank you for always being there to support me, keep me grounded, and most importantly make me laugh. You make me feel like I can take on anything, and with you by my side I know I can. You have a way about you that makes others so comfortable around you, they know instantly that you are someone they can trust and truly be themselves around. You are not afraid to speak your mind, and I respect you for that. I am so thankful that God brought you into my life and that in 5 short months I will get to call you my husband! I can’t wait to start our life together, and see where this journey takes us. And I know sometimes I’ve overly sappy, and this is probably one of those times, but I just can’t help it! It’s all your fault anyway.
So today, while you’re out saving the world and busy taking care of others, remember that today is your day and that I love you more than you can imagine. I’m so excited to see you this weekend, even for a little bit, and I can’t wait to really celebrate with you after Australia. Get excited for a big surprise
